Ref. 1001: Director - Research Healthcare Technologies (m/f)

Responsibilities:

The director will be responsible for managing scientific
and operational activities of one of the departments of
the research institute. He/She will lead and follow up the
structuring of the department initiated recently. As a
member of the Executive Management Board, he/she will
contribute to the development of the overall strategy of
the research institute and will implement it at
department’s level.

His/Her missions will be to:

. Define and propose the department’s strategic
orientation to the Executive Management board and
supervise the attainment of the key performance
indicators.
. Play an active role in the initiation and the
management of national and international
partnerships.
. Advise stakeholders on scientific and technological
issues.
. Conduct periodic performance reviews and provide
an ongoing guidance and leadership to managers in
developing and implementing plans and objectives.
. Manage resources and project budgets and
development procedures. Compliance control.
. Determine and control both project schedules and
budgets in cooperation with the Executive
Management Board.
. Steer and coordinate the activities of multi-disciplinary
project teams.

Reporting: to the CEO of the research institute

Based: Luxembourg

Compensation: In line with relevant experience

 
Requirements

Education:

University degree in Technology or Science. A PhD
would be considered as an advantage.

Experience:

. Successful professional experience in an international
research and innovation environment in the public or
healthcare sector.
. Expert knowledge in biomedical engineering and
advanced healthcare informatics.

. Experience in managing creative people from
different cultural backgrounds is an asset.

. Knowledge of the specificities of Luxembourg
socioeconomic environment is considered an asset.

 

Language skills:

Fluency in English and French is required. Knowledge of
German and Luxembourgish is an important asset.

Age: 40 – 48 years.
